Anyone working today? We're closed, I went in for a few hours to clean my
office a little and check on something.

Knicks MLK day game is about the extent of my plans for the rest of the day.

]Knicks MLK day game

They should reschedule the game to avoid embarrassing the late dr. king with their "efforts."

Home, with Ms. Wolf... and thankfully, day care is open! So it's been a nice, quiet day around the house.

Federal Holiday. Courts are closed. For some reason, we are open. Working. All day.

At work. We get "floating holidays" and I prefer not to take mine on actual holidays when they're holidays that I don't celebrate. So I got to enjoy the light traffic this morning and I'll get to do the same on President's Day.

I don't know whether it was a holiday for him or not, but D-Day was off today so we could move our daughter out of the Triple From Hell and into a much nicer double room in the same dorm.

People are allowed to get out of lousy freshman housing assignments?!

My whole life would be different has somebody told me about that.

Well, if they're tripled, we like to detriple as quickly as we can.

Glad to see NYU (or Columbia? I don't remember which) has the same tripling problems that we have.

Woke up around 9, strolled down to the buffet and ate breakfast.

Walked around the pool area in the 80 degree but heavy cloud cover and threatening weather, thought about one last round of roulette to play Metly numbers but the table was closed.

Hopped on the plane from San Juan circa 1:00, got to the office from Westchester Airport around 4 but the bags were some time behind, not too much though.

Bottom line is though it was roughly 5pm by the time we left the office, so it kind of felt like a normal Monday!

How about de-octupling? My freshman housing form asked for my interests and what kind of roommate I was looking for and I said a freckly brunette name Megan who had no problems being nice in the morning. I was tossed into a suite of eight --- mostly drunken mooks who didn't bother learning my name, along with one fastidious Danny Terio-dressalike rageaholic who liked to clean up the suite by throwing everybody else's shit on my bed.

One year we were coming home from the Dominican Republic and I really felt sick getting on the plane. Not from drinking the night before or anything like that, I'm pretty sure it was more something I ate. I was sucking down Ginger Ales and just feeling quite nauseous the entire flight.

Later I came to find out that the Knicks suffered their worst MLK Day loss ever, so I wondered if my sickness was somehow a unknowing reaction to that!

It's NYU. They don't seem to have too many triples, but my daughter was in one with a couple of really bitchy, clique-y girls. Now she's in a much better situation.

And yeah, you can switch out of freshman housing situations. I think I lasted just over a month with my first roommate before I moved into another double.

You might be on to something Steve. The Knicks play is enough to make any fan sick.

Our office was open. With schools closed, it was like a three ring circus with both my partners and my scedule fully packed. Things should be a little saner tomorrow (I hope).

Don't you already have a great roommate?
