Premieres tonight.

Will anyone else be watching?

You bet I will.

I'm not sure if I'll watch tonight or tomorrow on TiVo though. If I wait until tomorrow I'll be sure to avoid this thread and any spoilers it may contain.

Do you remember where you were last time you had season 4?

We missed huge chunks of season 3, but the hour-long preview show did a good job of getting us up to speed.

My wife is chuffed that Charlie's dead; he was her favorite.

I love Hurley -- what a great, great character.

A few things we can surmise from last night's episode:

- Six people on Flight 815 get off the island and back to civilization. Kate, Jack, and Hurley are three of them.

- They've taken an oath/been paid a lot of hush money to keep quiet about what really happened, based on Jack's "you're not gonna tell?" to Hurley.

- Some group doesn't believe the official version of events, based on the "lawyer" coming to visit Hurley. "Are they still alive?"

And one thing bugging me: after 90 some days on that island, why are so many eager to ignore the fact that a helicopter is coming in order to go with Locke and stay on the island?

I watched the opening sequence and was utterly confused, I had never watched the show before but it's hard to escape. Why was the big guy being chased by cops and why was he not "lost"...

Anyway of catching up quickly?

Irish,
Go to abc.com, look for view full episodes online, then look for Lost: Past, Present, and Future. It's a 1-hour recap that aired last night before the season premiere.
This should get you somewhat up to date.

in the past, if it wasn't happening on the island, then it was happening in the past. in the present and in the future, if it's not happening on the island, its happening in teh future.

and its all quentin tarantino'd up, too, so its all up to you to try to piece together what's actually happening in which order.

lostpedia.com is a tremendous help in this regard.

Lostpedia is almost too detailed, though. If you've been watching, then it's great, but I don't know how quickly it'll get you up to speed. There are just too many details.

Lost: Past, Present, and Future is available on iTunes as a free download so I'll watch it later.
