Jude Law plays a Brit who returns to America for the first time since he was five, only to run into the woman whose deliver he assisted in 25 years earlier. Time for love?

I would love to wait before adding my voice but I feel I must speak.

Yes, speak, and beg you before all that is holy, stay away from this film. Do not see it out of curiousity. Do not wonder what could turn my heart so. Do not "kill time" in an ironic celebration of it's badness.

Do none of these things. Play Stratego. Organize your baseball cards. Walk the dog. Go ice skating with the douchebag neighbors if you must but don't see this film. I have, and I live in shame for the rental fees I've rewarded the makers of this, this film. This ham-acted, stagey-directed, simultaneously over-written and underwritten, set-shaking, indifferently dubbed, Edgy-insulting piece of dreck.

Yes, I'm ashamed. Some of these people you may respect from other efforts. I don't care. Stop respecting them. The real shame belongs to everyone associated with this waste of celluloid.

Their names, in aphabetical order, are

Tony Abatemarco, Jane Adams, Gregg Almquist, Al Berman, Brenda Blethyn, Brumby Broussard, Cory Buck, David Carpenter, Jennifer Christopher, Dunya Djordjevic, Dana Edwards, Wanda-Lee Evans, Kari Leigh Floyd, Mel Green, Martha Hackett, Barbara Howard, Bruce Jarchow, Tria Katz, Kevin Kilner, Jude Law, Vincent Laresca, Frank Lugo, Cynthia Mace, Judith Malina, Hillary Matthews, Gretchen Mol, Jane L. Moore, Caitlin Sarah Needham, Paula J. Newman, Margarita O'Quendo, Daniel Passer, Sara Paxton, Evie Peck, Joe Pichler, Joseph Pilato, Jeremy Piven, Martha Plimpton, Jon Polito, Don Pugsley, Thomas Rosales Jr., Jan Rubes, Richard Ruccolo, Rocco Salata, Fred Sanders, Ann Shea, Rainey Taylor, Jon Tenney, Jennifer Tilly, and Lee Weaver.

This is just the cast. The production crew can be ashamed tomorrow.

Two-handed head clutcher, this.

How about, time to reassess your video-choosing ability.

Man, I'm engaged. It's, like, the law that I have to pick from the Time for Love? rack.

You still haven't given me back the two hours wasted on The Namesake. I took one for the team here and you should be thanking me.

It was a joke between Cha and I that Jude Law was in every other film and yet we'd never actually seen him in anything. Now we have. Now we shan't again.

This sucks even more the next day.

Next up in the Romantic Comedies You've Never Even Heard Of Film Festival: I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With.

Seriously.

Bingo.

want Jude Law? watch Enemy at the Gates, I can't think of anything else remotely watchable that he's been in.

I can reassess choices. How do I reassess choosing ability?

Obviously using this forum doesn't help.

I check scores on metacritic and write down 4-5 titles before I go to the v-store, but try not to read too much about the movies themselves. If I don't have a plan when I arrive there I am completely at sea.

I was completely at sea.
