I'm looking to buy a new TV soon but really have no idea about which are better, LCD, Plasma, DLP ,are they all HDTV.......here is the one I think I want from Philips.

It's due out in March and is the right price for me, $1,399 MSRP, plus it might even save some money with the power saving mode.
That's LCD but I've been told I should get Plasma or Aquos, the TV I have now is not even flat screen so anything I get would be way better.
Willing to spend up to $2000.
Looking at 42' for the space, anyting bigger would not be a fit.
Advice?
