CA Dreamin'

My daughter has been teaching at her school (fourth grade) for three years now.

She has been selected, along with one of her fellow teachers, to travel to Los Angeles later this month for a Teachers' Seminar. They were selected based on their service, success and dedication.

If you knew exactly how tight this school's budget is, you would see what a huge deal this is.

She is very excited!

Seo, I hope it's still nice there. She'll be leaving Tuesday and is very excited; packing her (new) sunglasses and all that. They'll be staying in Hollywood

Here's her schedule, in her own words...sounds like fun for a business trip!
I like how she says "seminars and stuff" kinda as an offhand :)

Well, here is a kinda loose agenda: Tuesday: Arrive in the evening, go out to dinner with D----, the company's rep who comes and visits our school every month Wednesday: We're going on school tours in the LA area of schools that also use the company's strategies, and use them well. We'll have lunch at this semi-famous chicken and waffle place (Snoop Dogg goes there on his reality show, haha). Then that night there's a welcome reception at the hotel pool. Not sure what we'll do after. Thursday: Probably seminars and stuff during the day, then they're taking us to Lucky Strike, which is a bowling alley/bar that's really trendy (supposedly celebrities go there, too!) Friday: Seminars again, then a "Red Carpet Spectacular" dinner with Danny Glover as the key note speaker! Saturday: I think there's a short seminar-type thingy in the morning, then we leave to come back!

Roscoe's is the chicken and waffle place. There's one in LB by my apartment. It's kinda scary lookin'.

Hopefully she can can get the ocean and see the waves. There's been a huge swell pounding the beaches the last couple days. Normally at Seal Beach, it's 1-3ft piddlers, but yesterday they were seeing 12ft and up.

Yesterday at low tide.

That is some low tide...
She is leaving Philadelphia sometime today (maybe already) and flying into Las Vegas, then on to Hollywood. I can't wait to see her pictures.

Seo, tell the weather man to keep the weather nice for a few days!

If you can tell me where to find the lovely weather girl Indra Petersons, I will happily plead with her to keep the weather nice.

Very pretty....she looks as though she is pleading for nice weather in picture two!

She doesn't need to plead. I'm convinced that when the sun shines, it's because of her.

Had to research Indra myself. Digging her mega doppler but, Seo, looks like a ring on that finger, dude.

Does look like a ring. Bah. I still get a warm front blowin' through my pantaloons every time I see her, though.

Called from Rodeo Drive a little while ago. Has not bought anything. Had lunch at Roscoes, did not report any scariness.

Did not see Snoop either :(
