Funny but out of those three I would have pegged Triple Dee as a spammer, welcome and happy posting.

is triple D new or a new name for an old user?

I'm more interested if that's a shoe size or a cup size.

i decided not to say something to that effect to avoid scaring away a potential new poster

I'm sorry, did I type that out loud?

Triple Dee emailed in. The other two haven't but since they had baseball/Mets
related monickers I figure I wouldn't include them in the 50 or so we delete daily
without giving them a chance to check in.

Triple Dee has also broken a forum record, but that would be for him/her to
reveal just what that is.

Gooner Met digs the Arsenal, I bet. We could use another soccer dork here.

Sorry to disappoint, but neither. It's the initials my parents gave me.

First and last names starting with "D" in Mets history:

Doug Dascenzo
Duffy Dyer

Any others? I don't the Mets ever had any triple Ds though.

Welcome!

I've never come across another Triple D in my professional or personal life.

Thank you. I'm very happy to be here. This place seems much friendlier than the only other Mets forum I've posted to. Since it appears I'm the new acquisition for the 2009 season, you can think of me as the Johan Santana of CPF ;)

Welcome, Triple Dee.
Now, as all rookies must, get yourself up on that virtual table in the middle of the room and sing your school's fight song.

Triple initial guys that come to mind:

Ugeth Urtain Urbina -- who recently went from the clubhouse to the big house

Marion Michael Morrison -- who famously changed it to John Wayne

and from 'Catch 22' there was Major Major Major -- who the army felt they had no choice but to immediately promote to the rank of Major.

I guess we're not as elitist as people have accused ous of being in the past. Welcome aboard DDD, it's nice to have you with us.

Welcome 3D!

But you're going to have to prove yourself if you want to be considered this year's Johan Santana as opposed to Steve Register <g>

If you want elitism on a Mets board I can direct you to the Mets Usenet newsgroup. And being usenet, there's the usual sprinkling of kooks, which actually gives rise to an interesting blend of malcontents

I might as well be a new user considering my continuing disappearing act. Back-to-back seasons now, I've completely lost my entire hard drive in late June or early July and disappeared until Spring Training. Well, here's attempt number three, I guess. I might go crazy if I have another hard drive failure, though.

Yeah, GYC, you need to be more like us and not let having a life get in the way of posting.

Hopefully, this third hard drive will be more reliable for you. Best of luck and it's good to have you back.
