Dark Horse II: Argenis Reyes

He was developed by Cleveland as a super utility man, and Willie obviously likes infileders that play outfield as well. He's shown ittle power, a modest batting eye, but could at least pass Anderson Hernandez this year if he shows some skill at shortstop.

He seems one of those guys capable of respectable batting averages until you realize that they're full of empty calories.

I believe I addressed him in one of my unpopular iXgts. I don't see the superutilityness -- I thought he was mainly a 2B-3B and to my knowledge he hasn't played much of any SS.

Looks to me like Argenis could hasten a trade of Gotay, seeing as he's similarly limited as to positionality and prolly worth more on the market given his hitting ability.

Still not certain whatthe plan is for AAA's everyday SS or for Reyes' backup on the club.

Gotay is probably worth more than Andy Hernandy at this point also, so good point. Problem is that he hits more like Hernandez.

Games played by position for Argenis.

Argenis is a good middle-infieldery name.

Strangely enough the update guy on 1050 last night kept calling him Salazar.
