Photoshop help

I'm crap at photoshop. I admit it. I resent it. I'm embarrassed by it, but there it is.

A very simple request: Can anybody take two or three of these fish silhouettes crop them out of the poster and make them into individual gifs with transparent backgrounds?

I need to paste them into a Powerpoint. (I hates Powerpoint, but at least I'm not crap at it.)

Listen, anybody who might consider helping me, please pretend I never said that thing about, you know, licking.

What do you mean by transparent backgrounds? White? Or it's easy to give you a psd where there is no background, just fish...

May be able to knock this out tomorrow afternoon if that's cool, I'm traveling in the AM.

Thanks. I'm lookig for invisible , so there's no white box around the fishie when I place him in his ocean.

Tell me. Is it possible I'm doing everythign correctly, but the tranparent gifs I'm making are supportable on the web but not in PowerPoint?

you can always try to make the background transparent inside powerpoint...

yup. you need to go to view > toolbars > picture toolbar

then click the "set transparent color" button on the picture toolbar - on mine, its second from the right, looks like a blue fountain pen pointing at a small black L. then, once you've got that clicked, click on the white part of the picture, and it should become transparent.

of course, i just tried that with your picture, and because of the aliasing and the compression, you get a lot of artifacts in there that stay in the image. (boxy areas of whitish dots)

that being the case, you need to do some image editing.

(try to get your hands on paint shop pro - imo its a lot easier to use than photoshop, and a heckuvalot cheaper. you can do this in there as well.)

Number six, no need to re-create these. My seas are suddenly teeming with living creatures.
