The Uncle Tom Glavines are always impeccably dressed, well-spoken and conservative in their politics. They oppose affirmative action, play golf at the country club and listen to Barry Manilow. When they're not at their summer homes in the Cape, they gather at Shea to support their man Tom Glavine. When Glavine paints the corner, they clap appropriately, being careful not to disturb others around them or ruin their manicures.

The Schoeneweis Owls disbanded shortly into the 2007 season but a new chapter -- the Wise Owls -- is said to be seeking members.

Ever since Jose Reyes posed in GQ he has an avid following at Shea. Look for the " Reyes Triplets" at Shea this season.

I fucking hate that stupid "pursed lip" pose. It looks even more ridiculous coming from guys.

This is Pedro's Posse. They congregate in the the picnic area for each game that Pedro Martinez starts at Shea. This group nearly disbanded last season, but they are anxiously look forward to hanging with their man this season. The Posse has lobbied (in vain to this point) for a "jungle gym" to be installed at Citi Field, since they currently lack something to climb on when Pedro is preoccupied on the mound.

This chap will no doubt be back at Shea to cheer for Lastings Milledge, not at all happy that he got traded.

Theoretically it would be even more apropos after a good defensive play.
