Good guess but no. I don't think any of those are a direct translation of the title we know the film as, which is a shame, because of the double meaining of the title.

That would be the correct translation of the Venezuelan title, but no.

The film in question is Breaking Away.

Bambino was a working title, I guess, because Dave is a small romantic who likes to talk Italian. I'd guess the working title would be Cutters! But Breaking Away is just a great title. That it was written by one of UI's actual student cyclists is great. Screenwriter Steve Tesich was an alternate rider for the Phi Kappa Psi team in the Little 500 bicycle race, when his teammate, Dave Blase, rode 139 of 200 laps to victory, similar to Dave Stoller's Herculean effort.
