Elizabeth Shue plays the mother of a soccer-playing, team-integrating Elizabeth Shue stand-in, delighting and confusing poor Johnny Lunchbucket. Elizabeth (producer) and her brother Andrew (screenwriter) team up to tell the fictionalized story of their family's tragedy and glory. They even use Shue-family 1970s super-8 footage.

Predictable, but good performances capture the tension in the family dynamics making this movie better than it should be.
