THIS GAME HAS BEEN CANCELLED, DOUBLEHEADER IN MAY ] People down in ATL are saying its pouring rain and the game may not be played. Pitching NYM: John Maine (1st start of the year) ATL: Tim Hudson (0-0, 2.57 ERA) For the Mets: SS Reyes 2B Castillo 3B Wright CF Beltran 1B Delgado RF Church LF Pagan C Schneider P Maine For The Braves: SS Escobar CF Kotsay 3B Jones 1B Texeira C McCann RF Francoeur LF Diaz 2B Prado P Hudson edit- i'm disgusted by the Daily News/Yankees ads on WFAN during the Mets broadcast (well, between steve summers and the mets)

they're talking rain and tornado warnings on the radio. they also mentioned that the braves have really used their bullpen alot so far and could use the night off, and its their decision until the game actually starts.

Maybe Maine and Hudson can do their best impersonations of vintage Maddux and we can get through 6 (with a Mets lead) in an hour and a half. Cox on WFAN now saying "a rainout wouldn't hurt us" and I have to believe the Braves organization knows that and will call this game.

My plan now: Maine on Saturday, Santana on Sunday, Perez on Tuesday. Pelfrey to get some bullpen work over the weekend, if possible, and a start on Wednesday.

I would prefer to maintain Santana, Perez, and Maine on their regular rest. The more starts the Met6s can get from those three, the better off they should be.

Oh that's gonna stick ... a) does Jeets own any Yankee apparel? b) does he wear it to games? c) has he ever participated in "roll call" or clap when each player acknowledges? d) does he know stadium personnel by name? e) how many times a year can he be spotted in monument park? f) has he ever posed for picture with Freddie Sez or taken one of him?
