NY Mets

It must be great to be a Braves fan and believe that every single pitch from a Braves pitcher is a strike, no matter where it is thrown.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 11:45 AM |
back-to-back two out walks for Wright and Beltran, can Delgado capitalize?
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 11:46 AM |
There was a time when that was "true", in the sense that Maddux and Glavine got strikes literally 12 inches off the plate.
bmfc1 Apr 06 2008 11:47 AM |
Right--the fans are still living in the past.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 11:48 AM |
Delgado goes down looking :(

I found it telling that in the Braves 2nd game od the season vs. Pittsburgh, their bullpen wasn't able to find the strikezone...and their fans, rather than booing the relief pitcher for not throwing strikes(as NY fans would), they were booing the umps for not calling pitches out of the strikezone strikes.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 12:02 PM |
Sucks to lose the big Glavine/Santana matchup.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 12:07 PM |
Hey, Brian Schneider, Lo Duca could've bounced tailing throws to second for us.
SteveJRogers Apr 06 2008 12:14 PM |
Live from Stout having some fun
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 12:18 PM |
David comes up empty with 2 out and RISP...again.
Triple Dee Apr 06 2008 12:21 PM |
Get traded.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 12:23 PM |
Wright should have stayed home on that bunt.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 12:25 PM |
Santana's got a gold glove, too!
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 12:38 PM |
Mets not playing good fundies today as Delgado gets doubled up on a fly ball. Can't be giving up outs against Smoltz.
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 12:41 PM |
Now we're giving up outs on defense.
Bunt the First Two Apr 06 2008 12:43 PM |
It's almost like the Braves are playing like they want to win. These are the saddest of possible words
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 12:53 PM |
Hey, Mets, give me a break. The Braves ware wearing their cherry-tops.
metirish Apr 06 2008 12:55 PM |
Sanatana looks like he can really hit, might have to hit him higher in the order next time out , he scorched that one to RF, right at the fielder though.
bmfc1 Apr 06 2008 12:57 PM |
It took the Braves announcers until the bottom of the 5th to mention the "Historic fade." That's the latest thus far for the out-of-town announcers.
metirish Apr 06 2008 12:57 PM |
Smoltz is out, why?
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 12:57 PM |
Smoltz is done after only 5 shutout innings. lets beat this bullpen!
first start back after DL stint, only 78 pitches though
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 01:00 PM |
Smoltz done after 5 as Gotay fans pinch hitting for him.
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 01:05 PM |
Top of the order...let's get this done big O.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 01:05 PM |
Blaine Boyer. Is he part of the Ken/Clete/Cloyd Boyer clan?
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 01:12 PM |
David isn't looking Wright.
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 01:20 PM |
Johan is quietly throwing a pretty awesome game. I know it's only a matter of time before I start taking that for granted every 5th day. I really appreciate how quickly he works.
Fman99 Apr 06 2008 01:30 PM |
Ugh, this Mets team couldn't hit their way out of a nutsack today.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 01:34 PM |
Missing Alou.
bmfc1 Apr 06 2008 01:39 PM |
Braves announcers: the Gold Glove voters "screwed up" by voting for Wright and not Chipper... then Wright shows why he got the award.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 01:46 PM |
getting shutout SUCKS, especially with such a good pitching performance wasted
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 01:55 PM |
Fuck. Heilman walks Chipper and then gives up a 2-run shot to Texiera, thats all folks.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 02:04 PM |
It is it me or does Beltran strikeout looking alot?
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 02:07 PM |
This is where we need the bench bopper.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 02:10 PM |
good job by Pagan to be patient and draw the walk. he didn't swing the bat in 6 pitches.
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 02:10 PM |
We're not sending Schneider up.
HahnSolo Apr 06 2008 02:10 PM |
Nice AB and hit there by Church Probably too little too late.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 02:10 PM |
I'll say it now: Castro should be hitting for Schneider here.
Nymr83 Apr 06 2008 02:12 PM |
FUCK FUCK FUCK
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 02:13 PM |
Ramon Castro? The one on the DL?
AG/DC Apr 06 2008 02:14 PM |
Boo. Mini sweep.
TransMonk Apr 06 2008 02:16 PM |
I was looking forward to watching baseball this weekend, but a rainout and 2 losses deflated that in a hurry. Now I look forward to work and an off day tomorrow.

Rockin' Doc Apr 06 2008 03:43 PM |
Nymr - "tommorow will be the 3rd day off in 5 days, i don't like that."
OlerudOwned Apr 06 2008 06:37 PM |
Byuck. Good thing I went to a hockey game today.
Willets Point Apr 07 2008 03:55 AM |
Ick. Wrong end of a good pitching duel. The Braves sure busted their asses on everything and had it pay off.
