Brian Bannister is still magnificent throwing a CG 3 hit game for the Royals. The one run that scored against them was unearned.

The Phillies get screwed on a disputed homerun by the Cubs that appeared to be foul. They are currently in the 9th tied at 5.

Washington beats Atlanta and Houston beats Florida.

I was out all day maybe someone can explain this to me, why does a pitcher go 5 scoreless innings, throw only 68 pitches, allow only 3 baserunners, and get yanked from the game?
the pitcher is greg maddux for SD against LA today.

Would have been late for his tee time otherwise.

Nats snapped their 9-game losing streak agains the Braves. Glavine left early with a tight hamstring.

Francisco Lirinao returned to the Twins after a long absence for TJ surgery (so-so outing) as did BJ Ryan to the Jays (got the save).

Johnny Cueto of the Reds got roughed up by the Pirates after 2 good outings to start his career.

DBacks stay hot

BoSox up 3-0 on the Skanks after 1 inning.

I don't want to say that this is a typical Yanx/Sawx game ... but it's two hours in and there's one out in the top of the 4th!!!

7-3 Boston ... so far.

The 4th inning is finally over , I used to enjoy these games but for the most part they are a bore.

Par of the problem was Hughes walking the ballpark (again) and not getting out of the 3rd inning (again), but Matsuzaka wasn't much better (over 115 pitches thru 5 IPs) and even when he's pitching well he takes about a minute and a half between each pitch. He's a chore to watch.

Closing in on 3 hours it's top 6.
