IGT, Game 13, 4/16, vs. DC: Wanting it SO Bad

This man Chico is the best pitcher we face in this series. He's a nibbler and a dribbler and you've got to wait his ass out. He lsot 1-0 last time out. Him and Maine is an interesting matchup. both are potential comers. David Wright vs. lefties so far: .467 / .529 / .867 // 1.396. Yum.

Yet another Chico and the Maine matchup fo sho. It reminds of a few years back when Glavine was with the Braves the first go-round. Bastard would pitch every Sunday game I went to.

Chico is 2-2 vs. the Mets, with a 6.20 ERA. All of his appearences vs. the Mets came in 2007, and all were as a starting pitcher. He didn't oppose John Maine in any of the four starts: Vs. Oliver Perez, April 27 Vs. Tom Glavine, August 17 Vs. Mike Pelfrey, September 19 Vs. Mike Pelfrey, September 24

Some fans are posting images of the state of Maine instead of K's for each of John Maine's strikeouts. They got to talking about Maine, and Keith said dismissively that after the Revolution the British gave Maine to the US because they didn't want it.

I really, really like Castillo hitting eighth. Not that I'm down on his ability, I just think he's a much better option at #8 than Schneid. He's cleared the pitcher twice tonight and if he ever got on with less than 2 outs, he's a better runner than Schneid with the pitcher batting.

Agree on Castillo hitting 8th. I thought Maine just didn't have it tonight, but then he comes back with a 1-2-3 inning all on ground balls just like that. Top of the order for the Mets. Lets hit some Chico.

Realistically, I think Joe goes down no matter how well he pitches when Wise is ready. Not that I agree with it either.
