I really don't think you want to get in that parking lot.

I went on Sunday, from Orange County with 2 kids, so public transportation was not an option.

Try getting there early so you can get a space underneath the Whitestone Expressway under Northern Blvd.

Do they still allow that? (I had heard that they didn't.) I used to do that all the time when I was a Sunday season ticket holder and lived on Long Island. I'd make a left turn out of my parking spot, a right on Main Street and that would lead me right to the LIE.

Last year they did, this year my Dad's company got the full year plus parking so I don't know if they started to crack down on that this year. Or at least the side furtherest away from Shea.

There are some municipal parking lots in Flushing. I don't drive much, but I have parked in one of those and taken the 7 back one stop.

i don't know which highway/overpass is which but the last few years the mets (presumably with the blessing of the city) have been charging for parking under the highways closest to shea.

That's nothing new. Certain lots have existed under the Northern Boulevard ramps for years.
