I remember Adrian because him and Wayne were the first brothers I'd ever heard of who played on opposing teams. I was probably about seven at the advent of the Adrian Garrett Era, and I'd never heard of more famous opposing brothers like Joe and Dom DiMaggio. So Adrian stuck in my mind.

No, I'm not American, although I have lived in the US on two separate occasions. My father is a naturalized USian.

Sadly, you'd be the type of Met fan that's part of the dominant 90% sector --- the type we occasionally suspect is also characteristic of some members of the marketing team.

Adrian Garrett isn't as obscure as you seem to think. I remember hearing about him all the time when Wayne was a Met. (I guess he's obscure to all but those of us who have reached a "certain age.")
