Mathematically Alive in Trenton!

I figured I'd post this here, since MiniKnight has a (very small) part in Mathematically Alive, the documentary about Mets fandom. Mathematically Alive is going to be screened at the Trenton Film Festival on May 3rd, so anyone who's in the area should stop by and check it out :)

Hopefully the Mets will still be Mathematically Alive on May 3.

'Twould be a shame if they weren't....

What is MiniKnight's part?

He's the little kid with the quote that ends the film.

Are you allowed to share his line with us?

The kid throws no love at Shingo Takatsu, I'll tell you that.

The Takatsu reference comes from the Worst Moments montage, which is also a DVD extra.

I can't exactly quote his line at the end of the movie, but it's about remaining loyal even after disappointment. The kid was 9 at the time of the interview, and it was pretty cute hearing those words coming out of such a little guy.

Nothing personal towards Fairy Jr., but I feverishly dislike the worst moments montage (though I like the relattive obscurity of his reference). It turns me off the idea of sitting through the film, though I imagine I'll take it in sometime.

FWIW, the Best Moments and Worst Moments are NOT in the main documentary.

One of the most fascinating interviews in the movie is with a psychologist who does a decent job of explaining the phenomenon of fandom in a way that's accessible to non-fans and not condescending towards fans.

And the kid's name is MiniKnight, thankyouverymuch!

I'll say one thing, you are one sadistic fairy. I had succesfully blocked some of those sad moments from my memory, but that video picked at the calloused scars.

All you had to do was turn the clip off after the first one.

Perhaps this will assuage your feelings -
