A fleet footed Figgy :)

I see Roger McDowell and think of three things: 1--he was the "secret spitter"; 2--hot foots; 3--that pitch to Terry Pendleton.

Zvon Apr 27 2008 11:52 AM |
|
4--bubble gum Mets coulda really put em away there, as Mr. Wright grounds out to Smoltz with bases figgelyfull. 3-0 Mets Thats distressful new regarding Alou there. Fractured ankle?

3 hits through 5 for Figs. That's one hometown/comeback kid who is awfully easy to root for.
|
SteveJRogers Apr 27 2008 12:51 PM |
Ummm, Howie, last time I checked Choo Choo Coleman is still living...

Zvon Apr 27 2008 12:59 PM |

That'll go into the scorebooks as "Schoeneweis faces down the potential tying run right hander" but yeow.

Just as well. Tired of waiting for him anyway.

|
Batty31 Apr 27 2008 01:30 PM |
Holy crap...did Delgado eat his Wheaties today or something?
|
Nymr83 Apr 27 2008 01:31 PM |
fans cheer for delgado....and then boo him for not giving the curtain call.
|
Zvon Apr 27 2008 01:34 PM |
I like that he didn't go out for the call.
|
metirish Apr 27 2008 01:41 PM |
Making way too much out of Delgado not going for the curtain call , he's had a great game in a so far poor season , I doubt he feels like celebrating . I don't think it's about dissing the fans at all.
|
SteveJRogers Apr 27 2008 01:51 PM |
2 more outs...
|
SteveJRogers Apr 27 2008 01:52 PM |
What is the record for hitless innings? Obviously Vandermeer has the back-to-back in terms of starters.
|
SteveJRogers Apr 27 2008 01:53 PM |

|
metirish Apr 27 2008 02:57 PM |
What eegit asked for that?

Lemme tell you. You remember how I did that tedious table of all the Mets' catching units ranked by sOPS+? I was thinking that we might have one of our worst catching units ever because our catchers had an SOPS+ in the high seventies. I went back to check the numbers after Molina's debut yesterday, and I realized our firstbasemen had an sOPS+ of 45!
