This is the official one by 3 minutes on the timestamp.

I'm in for the long haul. Been a while since I've taken in a West coast night game. Hopefully Scully is announcing.

bmfc1
May 05 2008 08:14 PM

Scully ties the season record by mentioning the you-know-what during the 2d AB of the game.

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 08:15 PM

We're in trouble.

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 08:18 PM

Big trouble.

I think the Mets only bought the black for this trip.

KEEP THE 0-2 PITCH OUT OF THE STRIKE ZONE, THANK YOU.

Maybe I'll get to bed earlier than I thought tonight.

Overrated.

AG/DC
May 05 2008 08:26 PM

Jeff Kent puts a hole right through Perez.

Seriously, I saw Pokey do that to Gumby once.

I actually thought Delgado came off the bag, such was his hurry to run to the mound and see how Perez was doing.

Perez "has not fooled anybody" says Scully. I've seen him recover from disasters before, and I'm hoping stll.

Gwreck
May 05 2008 08:30 PM

I wouldn't be so worried if Billingsley hadn't looked so nasty against us in the first...

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 08:35 PM

I'd have sent Beltran.

TheOldMole
May 05 2008 08:35 PM

Delgado starting to turn it up

soupcan
May 05 2008 08:35 PM

The Carloses on 2nd and 3rd with one out thanks to a Delgado double.

Schneider wants to tie this up.

I agree. Perhaps if Delgado was going for a cycle.

May 05 2008 08:36 PM

Hmm. I guess not. Castillo does though...

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 08:37 PM

Alomar, bless his heart, is just incompetent.

Dang.

As is Castillo. What a swing.

soupcan
May 05 2008 08:38 PM

You know what? I'm not sure Castillo's that good.

Anybody else starting to think that?

TheOldMole
May 05 2008 08:39 PM

Oh, shit - they're going to celebrate The Great Betrayal tonight.

Gwreck
May 05 2008 08:40 PM

Forget firing Willie.
Forget firing Peterson.

Is nobody else able to see that Sandy Alomar is a total moron of a third base coach?

Would flipping him and Tom Nieto -- or putting Jerry Manuel back out as a base coach -- really be that hard to do?

bmfc1
May 05 2008 08:42 PM

What did the SNY guys say? Scully was too busy talking about Castillo's mother making sandwiches for the workers in San Pedro de Marcoris to comment on the game.

If only Carlos had a cycle going.

Holy crap--Scully just told us that Reyes' father was a plumber. Unbelievable.

Fman99
May 05 2008 08:52 PM

Nice. That might have been a close play had the catcher not thrown to the wrong side.

soupcan
May 05 2008 08:52 PM

Reyes walks and steals second.

Time for another RBI Church.

Or not.

Scully is the man.

Billy Wagner couldn't have made that play. Damn!

Gwreck
May 05 2008 09:07 PM

Gary and Ron talking about how thick Billingsley's legs are, and how his and Jonathon Broxton's are the thickest in the league.

How quickly they forget Heath Bell.

Any sign of Seo these days? , probably at the game.

Ian Ziering right behind home plate , first time he's been seen on TV in 15 years.

Twhack.

May 05 2008 09:13 PM

Castillo is the worst , I'm sick of watching pitchers go into deep counts every fucking batter , when was the last time the Mets were involved in a game that lasted less than two hours , two hours I can do tonight but not this crap.

Frayed Knot
May 05 2008 09:17 PM

"when was the last time the Mets were involved in a game that lasted less than two hours "

Two hours? ... dude, we've only got 1 game under 2:30 so far and only 3 or 4 under 2:45
We're averaging well over 3:00 this season.

metirish
May 05 2008 09:21 PM

Yeah it's wishful thinking FK , Schneider throws another one away .

AG/DC
May 05 2008 09:21 PM

Tell me Lo Duca couldn't have done that.

I know Schneider has been injured and missed spring training but he's shown nothing in defence.

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 09:23 PM

Tip of the cap to Oliver Perez for pitching pretty well since the first.

The Schneid has had three separate injuries. He's a big disappointment so far.

AG/DC
May 05 2008 09:26 PM

Jones being booed like nobody's business. I don't know that I've ever seen the Dodger faithful care enough to lash out at somebody like that.

Or even be explicily rude. You know what they say: In New York we say fuck you but mean good morning. In Los Angeles, they say good morning, but mean fuck you.

Jones got a hardy good morning there.

He's still been more productive than our top 3 other options (Castro, LoDuca and Estrada).

Third time's a charm, David. Go get 'em.

We'd have a better chance of scoring one of these innings if we'd quit having Perez lead off.

That looked like a hit all the way.

Blake DeWitt hits his first major league home run.

Powderfuck, I'd like somebody to get around on Billingslea.

Nymr83

The Kemper Open.

Let's just score, 'kay?

AG/DC

Pagan in the city of angels.

John Cougar Lunchbucket
May 05 2008 10:06 PM

Well we got Billingsley outta there.

Willie now using Pagan merely as a decoy PHer: He's announced, Torre calls on Biemel and I guess Easley will bat.

We sure look like crap vs. Beimel

One last chance for this uninspiring offense.

That was profoundly unsatisfying.

When these guys are flat, they are truly flat.
