I'm sure everybody is aware that CPF posts turn up on google searches.

My questions are:
(1) Is everybody comfortable with this?
(2) Can the admins do anything to prevent this?

Ta.

I don't see it as a problem.

We have an informal (though I think it should be formal) policy not to post the real names of anybody who's not a celebrity.

We'd also be wise not to post our own names (although some do) and anything that identifies our location too precisely, and phone numbers.

Probably a good idea not to call a Met's wife fat.

Or discuss a Met prospect's wife's bridesmaids.

The reason I raised this was because I saw my ex at the gym this evening and she made a snide remark that sounded suspiciously like something mentioned on this forum (although I haven't ruled out paranoia.)

She knows I'm a Mets fan and she obviously knows my nickname.

But my other concern is about people from the WWW linking (or stealing) original content like KTE, Rankings and Prospect info.

Yes, you're definitely a lawyer :)

(I'm not saying it like a bad thing - it's just an observation. And it amuses me <g>)

If someone wants to steal our IGTs, KTEs, or Rankings nonsense for purposes of claiming them for their own they need more help than we can provide.

We'll know they're stealing from us if we see stuff like this on another web site:
