Good guys vs. Brad "Dickhead" Penny:
AG/DC May 07 2008 12:21 PM |
What is it? Penny's ninth season? Kind of strange that he's never been a Yankee.
metirish May 07 2008 12:23 PM |
Lets avoid the sweep , yaaaaaaaaaah.
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 12:24 PM |
This might be the last hurrah (for a while) for Casanova. I hear Castro's return may come pretty soon.
batmagadanleadoff May 07 2008 12:36 PM |
Statistically, Church has pretty much caught up to Wright as the Mets best everyday player this season. So far.
G-Fafif May 07 2008 12:36 PM |
Let's Go Mets!
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 12:38 PM |
We've got the teamwork, to make the dream work...
bmfc1 May 07 2008 12:55 PM |
I was going to say that we can anticipate some misplays from Marlon at 1B but the way Carlos Delgado has been going, that would be the norm.
Fman99 May 07 2008 01:00 PM |
Let's Go Mets!
metirish May 07 2008 01:02 PM |
Must stop Blake DeTwat today , fucker.
smg58 May 07 2008 01:25 PM |
Pagan flips over the wall chasing a foul ball, but makes the catch and more amazingly avoids injury in the process. Very classy of the Dodger fans to applaud the replay on the big screen.
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 01:36 PM |
Two one-out singles in the second. Do the Mets have something going?
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 07 2008 01:36 PM |
Go Pagan.
AG/DC May 07 2008 01:36 PM |
Marlon doubles off the centefield wall. One-zip, us.
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 01:36 PM |
Yes, they do!
AG/DC May 07 2008 01:38 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on May 07 2008 01:38 PM |
Well, that explains that. Gameday didn't say nothing 'bout no bounce over the wall. Does now.
Big Junk May 07 2008 01:38 PM |
Penny is having control problems :)
G-Fafif May 07 2008 01:39 PM |
Let's roll us a Penny.
AG/DC May 07 2008 01:39 PM |
Welcome, Big Junk.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 07 2008 01:39 PM |
Casanova singles home another, Maine bunts him the 2nd...
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 01:39 PM |
Welcome, Big Junk. Casanova single drives in two more.

Holy mackeral they're pouring it on. Reyes walks, Castinko singles in a run, 4-0.
AG/DC May 07 2008 01:44 PM |
As governor, I'd declare a bank holiday every time the Mets bat around.
metirish May 07 2008 01:45 PM |
If I could vote you'd have mine.....
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 01:45 PM |
If you were governor, I'd get myself a job in a bank.
Big Junk May 07 2008 01:48 PM |
Thank You Sir.
Big Junk May 07 2008 01:49 PM |
Thank You
Rockin' Doc May 07 2008 01:52 PM |
Had a brief break between patients and decided to check in on the progress of the game. Pleasant surprise to see the Mets offense suddenly come to life. Hopefully, they can keep it going today. The Mets could really benefit from being on the right side of a laugher.
seawolf17 May 07 2008 01:52 PM |
I like the new guy jumping right into the IGT. Excellent.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 07 2008 01:54 PM |
Great idea!
Big Junk May 07 2008 01:57 PM |
Pagan steals!!! speed speed speed......gotta love it
Frayed Knot May 07 2008 02:01 PM |
Chavez has now replaced Pagan in LF
Fman99 May 07 2008 02:02 PM |
I'll be able to catch some of it on my way home on XM. Nice to see (via the ticker) that they're playing well.
G-Fafif May 07 2008 02:06 PM |
And every time the Mets batted around against Brad Penny, the use of what kind of currency would be suspended?

Pennies, Baby! Get well, Angel.
metirish May 07 2008 02:10 PM |
That's not good news on Pagan , there was something in the paper today about Randolph talking to Minaya about recalling Wise and sending Pagan down , thus carrying 13 pitchers.
Mendoza Line May 07 2008 02:11 PM |
As president, I'd move for DC statehood so that Edgy could run for governor.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 07 2008 02:12 PM |
I'm philosophically against that but almost think it would help. Of course we'd screw ourselves stupid and wear down all the guys at the same time.

Damegay says Castillo doubled.
metirish May 07 2008 02:15 PM |
I think that's four AB's combined.
Frayed Knot May 07 2008 02:18 PM |
Hey give a brother a break, a full 15% of his career hits have been for extra-bases.
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 02:18 PM |
Through three innings, Maine has thrown 32 pitches.
AG/DC May 07 2008 02:19 PM |
This is where I'll defend Willie. Folks want to bury someone. He still tries to redeem them.
AG/DC May 07 2008 02:29 PM |
Sing it.
Fman99 May 07 2008 02:30 PM |
Wow Penny is over 100 pitches and Maine has thrown 44 through 4 innings.
HahnSolo May 07 2008 02:32 PM |
Sign him up for the next parody challenge.
Big Junk May 07 2008 02:35 PM |
Maine has a hit? Did you hear the sound of something freezing in hell?
HahnSolo May 07 2008 02:36 PM |
On an 0-2 pitch, no less.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 07 2008 02:41 PM |
Reyes walk chases Penny, then Castillo walks with the bases loaded.
Big Junk May 07 2008 02:42 PM |

More, more, more...how do ya like it, how do ya like it?
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 02:43 PM |
My main rooting interest now is to see if Maine can get the CG/ShO.
themetfairy May 07 2008 02:45 PM |
Holy fuck! Who are these guys, and what have they done with our Mets?
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 02:45 PM |
Oh, and if this lopsided score holds, the bulk of my Schaefer points for the offense will go to those who helped create the first five runs.
Centerfield May 07 2008 02:45 PM |
For those that are watching, any update on Pagan's shoulder?
Fman99 May 07 2008 02:46 PM |
There's a riot goin on.
Fman99 May 07 2008 02:46 PM |
It still connects his arm to his torso.
holychicken May 07 2008 02:48 PM |
I really needed this laugher. I can go home and build my new PC happily tonight. . .assuming we don't blow an 11 run lead. . .
Benjamin Grimm May 07 2008 02:50 PM |
That's so September 2007.
Big Junk May 07 2008 02:51 PM |
That was a 10 pitch at bat to Loney and a LOT of fastballs.
KC May 07 2008 03:21 PM |
I'm overtired or shot ... I swear Cohen just said gay dame a minute
themetfairy May 07 2008 03:23 PM |
We always have suspected Gary of lurking here, haven't we?
Gwreck May 07 2008 03:35 PM |
Going into today's game, the Mets were the only team to not have a starting pitcher go more than 7 innings.
G-Fafif May 07 2008 03:39 PM |
Gary just gave Maine a CG for the one-hitter last September 29. He departed after giving up the one hit in the eighth. But the more one forgets about last September, probably the better.
G-Fafif May 07 2008 03:44 PM |
Gary cops to brain cramp, reassigns Maine's 2007 shutout to rain-shortened effort against Washington. An honorable broadcaster.
Gwreck May 07 2008 03:48 PM |
Cynic in me says it was the SNY version of the Immortal Chris Majkowski (sp?) who corrected Gary...
HahnSolo May 07 2008 03:52 PM |
There goes the shutout.
G-Fafif May 07 2008 03:56 PM |
But the win counts!
Frayed Knot May 07 2008 05:17 PM |
[worthless lament]Why da fuck couldn't we have had one or two of today's hits last night?!?![/worthless lament]
Nymr83 May 07 2008 08:55 PM |
they just showed on the news that Church's homerun was caught by a fan holding an infant!
Gwreck May 07 2008 08:58 PM |
Reminds me of the old Dave Barry quote:

Seo, you look exactly how I pictured you, except with long-hair and a beard. Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.
themetfairy May 08 2008 05:07 AM |
Seo - what a cool experience! Thanks for the pix and the wonderful report :)
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 08 2008 05:27 AM |

How was JazzFest? I used to go every year, but not in a long time.
metirish May 08 2008 07:14 AM |
Very cool Seo , looks like a great time and that kid rocks.
themetfairy May 08 2008 07:16 AM |
I don't usually make it a point to sit down and watch Mets Fast Forward, but I missed a lot of yesterday's game so I'm watching it now. I figure it's just going to be a highlights reel <g>
soupcan May 08 2008 08:08 AM |
Seo - love the pictorial!
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 08 2008 08:09 AM |
A slide show including pix of chixxx with nice dumpers, preferably.

Are there no black people left in New Orleans?
seawolf17 May 08 2008 06:49 PM |
Well, certainly not at the touristy things. I almost missed Seo's pictorial buried here in the IGT -- glad I clicked in here! Very cool experience.
Centerfield May 09 2008 08:41 AM |
Amazing. Great slide show Seo.
AG/DC May 09 2008 09:00 AM |
Where does one find a 21-year-old songbird with sass and VIP passes?
themetfairy May 09 2008 09:08 AM |
When you're as charming a ballgame companion as Seo is, I'm sure those kinds of invitations are frequent :)
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 09 2008 09:35 AM |

Keb Mo is black.
AG/DC May 09 2008 09:38 AM |
That much I got. I just didn't know Jazzfest had become another Black Music for White People intsitution.
A Boy Named Seo May 09 2008 01:52 PM |
I stayed with a black family in New Orleans and they went to Jazz Fest and enjoyed it at least as much as the white people.
