Actually, the Mets will be in SF then-- cable cars, rickshaws, pedicabs, and assorted bicyclists would suffice.

So this means what exactly ... that if the Mets aren't in first place by a comfortable margin with 100 or so games to go then heads start to roll? I'm not buying it. Playing poorly at that point is one thing, but demanding that they "establish control" or else ?!?! And, btw, the "weak" East division is the only one above .500 so far.

"When asked to produce said source, Mr. Klapisch looked in the mirror." Weak NL East? Wasn't everyone before the season hyping this as a three-team race with among the best teams in the league?
