Tipping Pitches

About a week ago, there was a picture of Aaron Heilman in the Daily News. I just googled it but couldn't find it.

If he's releasing the ball, no. At least not at that point. It's next to impossible to pick up on the pitcher's follow-through while the ball is screaming at you.

But I'd like to see the picture.

Yeah. You tip things if it's apparent before he goes into his windup. Once the pitcher starts to actually throw the ball, there's not enough time to process the information.

Here's what I finally found. But in the picture I saw in the Daily News, the palm out was more pronounced. Maybe he's falling into bad habits with his delivery. And that could be the reason for his recent performances. http://search.live.com/images/results.aspx?q=%22Aaron+Heilman%22&go=Search+Images&mkt=en-us&scope=&FORM=LIVSOP Later

Rusty Staub is discussing picking up pitches now. Assign him to watch the Met staff.
