Is anyone doing a Mets documentary?

I'll be going to the game on Saturday and hope to be interviewed by a documentary crew when I get there, in case I happen to see one. Does anyone know if a documentary crew will be shooting there? As you know, I'm a Metsoholic and will be attending with my family, which includes all ages and races.

And its Dog Day! Geez, I really hope someone is there interviewing folks for films that will be shown at festivals.

I wonder if they will come to the Woolrich Carnival and show it.

ALL ages and ALL races in one family. That must be a big family.

You know what? Coincidentally enough I think that there will be someone there filming a documentary about the Mets!

Now where did I hear that?

Damn, I cannot remember but I'm sure I saw it somewhere...

I think you can find references to this if you check in the newly created (by popular demand apparently) 'Mets Documentary Forum'; the same place where this thread will soon wind up.

"Was it DiMaggio?"

(Please tell me someone gets this punchline)

Sooo cool

Wow! You guys are really amazing. I only wish that I could be as in-the-know as you losers. Excuse me for working on my career. I can tell by your tireless efforts on this site that you have done a lot with your life. I would love to interview the 5 "way too cool" met fans that never log off of this site. Actually, on second thought I'll make sure to include a special SHOUT OUT to you all in the documentary. And don't worry, I'll be sure to let you know when HBO will air it.

Take it easy Fellini. We're just cracking nuts here.

Good luck with the film.

Maybe you guys are a little new to the field of documentary filmmaking? Sometimes you have to wear down initial resistance.

I don't sense any resistance, nor do I have a pulse on Mole's sense of humor.
Many people here will attest that I have little sense whatsoever, sometimes.

Someone fishing for help, getting a little hot sauce when they go a little over-
board, and then rippin' into everyone with a dumb comeback deserve what
they get.

Makes sense to me.

I don't have a pulse on Edgy's sense of humor either, and I've known him like five years.

And, HBO would be interested in a Mets documentary, why?

I have Met memories alright. I dont do interviews tho.
Ill post some crazy stories you guys wont even believe.

Ill start with my 1st ever Met memory.
Not sure what year, late 60s, but Art Shamsky was chasin a foul pop in right, ran right into the box seat railing between 1st base and right field, and was carted off the field on a stretcher. I heard the next day he broke some ribs, if I remember right.
If anyone can research the date of that game and incident, that was my 1st Met game. My dad took me. Im bettin it was '68.

Where's avi when you need him? Talk about memories. avi could start with his "Ten Best Games I Ever Attended" list and simply expand from there.

No documentary would be complete without a rambling interview of Joelmon. Does anyone know where he hangs out now? I'd pay money to hear the audio of a Joelmon rant.

I got an e-mail today from the documentary people, with an attached PDF file. They mention the people they've intereviewed, including a "little carrot-topped wiz kid" who I'm pretty sure is one of our younger members.

Anybody else get this? It wasn't sent to me personally, but to a distribution list that I'm apparently on.

We got it. MK was quite amused at the description <g>
