You do what you gotta do. There's no right way to mourn a child. If she thinks this vindicates her son, I'm not saying boo.

I'd rather this didn't become the flashpoint for the agenda of others for and against the war. But I'm not very optimistic on that front.

Last night's The Daily Show covered this story in its usual irreverant yet insightful way.

What's interesting to me is how the Bush administration is so quick to condemn Ms. Sheehan while they praised Terry Shaivo's parents' public actions not so long ago.

I took go home ... and add, "seek professional help before it's too late".

I mean, I'd like to see Georgie just invite her in for lunch and they could chat.
Unfortunately, that sets a whackass precedent that will make every nut in the
country think they can set up camp and get a sit down with the boss.

Here's the thing - she already met with him, two months after her son died.

I agree with Kase. We have enough whackasses as it is; we don't need to encourage more.

I'm not voting because my option isn't there. I don't think she should get a pow-wow with Dubya. But I think she has the right to camp out and petition for one. When she eventually figures out that she ain't gonna get it, she'll do something else. I dunno if she'll go home or try to accomplish some other thing in regards to her son's death.

If I was drinking coffee, that headline would have sent it spewing across my monitor. It's not unlike Weird Al Yankovic's song, "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?"

Psst.... She already got one.

This is one thing that kills me about the media. If they wanted to factually report this, they would say that "She's trying to meet with the President AGAIN

I know that. I guess I could've been clearer and said "again".
