"No makeup date has been announced"

What the fuck are they waiting for?
Saturday, Sunday or Monday (off day for both) -- Pick one!

Mets have a double header Tuesday in Atlanta, play two tomorrow.

I bet they're seeing if ESPN wants the game for Sunday night, 6/29.

I odn't see the point in that.
Why would a two-stadium DH be prefereable to a single locale DH?

Or are the Yanx trying to stall until ARod is healthy again?

Please no silly subway trip between two closing stadiums nonsense in June.

The fluff would be unbearable.

They have announced that the game will not be played Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

I don't understand why they couldn't just do a 1:00 game on Sunday. Maximizes time between the two games (second Sunday game is 8:00) and lets everybody who had a ticket for this weekend see a game this weekend.

I don't get it , is the forecast for the weekend shitty , is that why?

I don't know if anyone else watched the Mlicki game they just showed, but I was watching bits and pieces of it.

Two things:

1) I could have sworn that game was a day game. I had vivid memories of listening to it at work. I dunno, it must be the rubber game I'm thinking of.

2) According to baseball reference, Dave Mlicki made over $20 million in his career. I mean, good for him, but holy shit.

They skip Rasner, get Arod back and interrupt a Met homestand. FU MFYs

So they are going to do the two stadium doubleheader in June ?

Makes sense doesn't it?

Not really , play the stupid game Monday during the day , Mets then go to Atlanta while the wankers are at home for Baltimore.

I don't remember it being that bad the second time around

First time I remember a moronic Wfan caller suggesting that the rest of MLB should take a day off!

Mets have a doubleheader on Monday, they're not going to give up an off-day before that.

Also, you have 55,000 people who paid a lot of money to see Mets-Yankees during the weekend. They can't reschedule that for Monday afternoon when most of those people have to be at work.

I think they are hoping ESPN picks up the Sunday game in June, because that's the only way they can do the two stadium DH. The Saturday game will be a Fox game with a 3:55 PM first pitch. Can't do it that day. Won't do it on a Friday either.

The only logical choice would be that Sunday which would give the Mets 5 ESPN Sunday games (2 Mets-Yanks, Mets-Phils, Mets-Dodgers, Mets-Rockies) before the ASB which is their season quota with possible big games in August and September now unavailable to ESPN.

BTW, it's also the 4th rainout in Subway Series history. The Friday Bronx game was rained out in '04, they made it up as a day/nighter on Sunday.
