There will be a drawing for All-Star Game tickets (to be held at MFY Place II, soon to be condemned and demolished) and All-Star Fan Fest tickets (July 11-15 at the Javits Center) are already on sale. To register for the game drawing or to purchase Fan Fest tix, click here.

Some guy I know that has Yankee season tix offered me his All-Star game package.

I don't want it but if anyone's interested I'll ask him for ya.

I know he's going to want beaucoup bucks though. He got rid of a pair for the Yankee-Mets series field level behind the plate for $1,000.00. The face price of the tix was $250.00 a pop.

In those seats, the All-Star "package" (includes Home Run Derby, Futures Game, etc.) is $1600/seat. I guess he could try to mark it up but at a certain point there's only so much more you can push it.

We considered buying but the cheapest seats are $410 per seat, plus the mandatory 2 FanFest tickets and game program they make you buy (another $70).

The best part so far about the ASG is the brewing fight over some company (insurance I think) and their attempt to sponsor a deal during the HR derby where if Papi "points" to your section and hits a HR then some designated fans wins something.
The Yanx, however, are objecting because it's too imitative of Ruth's "called shot" which I guess makes that kind of thing exclusive property of the Yanquis. I suspect the fact that it's a Red Sock factors in too.

The fact that Ruth's so-call called shot was:
a) probably not called at all
and
b) occured at Wrigley Field
doesn't seem to matter much to them.
