Fire Steve Phillips

Not really, but here's some Steve Phillips action at firejoemorgan.com I caught this gem on 710 ESPN Radio this afternoon. Steve Phillips was talking about J.D. Drew's mindset at the plate. This may come as a giant surprise, but it was basically nonsense.

Pity Steve was on the radio with that great insight , if he were on the telly he would no doubt have used the indoor home plate that Baseball Tonight uses to illustrate his point ( and that KC likes)

firejoemorgan is a great website that does a great job calling out dumb commentators like joe and lazy columnists everywhere.

Maybe it's half of a tribute to G-FAFIF's website and goes with this picture:

Folks accused Ted Williams of much the same; not being agressive at times during situations that called a big hit rather than a pass-it-to-the-next-guy walk. How does one Know that? ... well they don't, but I suspect Phillips here is inferring a few things about their mindset based on past observation. A bit of commentator's license perhaps but I've heard a lot worse from talking heads and wouldn't pick this one to go nuts about. P.S. I have no idea what those pictures are all about either.

Faith. Fear. Flushing. (I had to right-click the photo of the pretty blonde lady to see that it was Faith Hill.)

That would be a photo of one of FireJoeMorgan.com's authors. His day job is a television writer on the staff of NBC's The Office, and occasional will pop into an episode as Dwight's cousin Moshe. "Fear" on his shirt is from an episode where Dwight was prepping a fellow employee for his first sales call. Dwight wanted the employee to fight "fear" so he had his cousin put "fear" on his shirt.
