Beltran's got something to say?

“He really bumped Jerry to get him an excuse to throw him out of the game,” Beltran said, “and I just let him know that that was weak, the move that he did, you know just being able to do that and he throws me out of the game. This is the first time that I’ve been so angry in my career.”

That's pretty bold stuff for a guy who rarely had much to say. Maybe he's stepping into sort of a leadership role.

Well, it's cool to see the guy go to the mat for his manager, anyhow.

Was Sandy Alomar in charge after the ejection or Oberkfell or who?

I was wondering the same thing.

I think as a matter of course the bench coach takes over, so it was probably Sandy.

My fiancee was watching the game with me and mentioned that Sandy Alomar Sr. looks like Kumar Pallana, the guy who played Pagoda in the Royal Tenenbaums.

right... i wouldn't count on it. he's just discovering what anger is. maybe he'll discover passion soon.
