Weaver's error was properly scored as one, although it was a tougher play than the one they gave Jeter a pass on yesterday.

As the story mentions, this one doesn't qualify as a REAL no-hitter.
MLB went through its record books a bunch of years ago and threw out a whole slew of "asterick" no-hitters including those less than 9 innings (like this one or those shortened by rain), those lost in extra innings (Haddix, Maloney et al), plus a bunch of other oddities.

David Palmer lost a five-inning rain-shortened perfect game, though he underscored his performance by going out and throuwing four-plus more perfect aganist the Mets his next start.
