It all depends on how you do it. I voted yes, because I've learned how to make it enjoyable.

muddy bank + early dawn + all alone + thermos of coffee = I could have slept in.

Large boat + sunny day + several friends + cooler of beer = Fun day of fishing (and hopefully a dinner of fresh fish).

Small boat + cool evening + son + cooler of soft drinks and sandwiches = Fun bonding experience

For me the actual fishing is okay (I did vote yes) but I love love love being anywhere near water and nature so I will say that the day itself is fun.

Although bugs can ruin any fishing trip

Not unless I'm fishing with Jack.

I'm going to vote not fun, because worms are yucky and fish smell bad.

I voted "fun" but like Doc, would require appropriate circumstances.

I like all that stuff Doc mentioned, but don't really like catching the actual fish. Only little hiccup I have with fishing.

I like the being out in nature part, but I can do without killing or tormenting fish.

Don't like the worms. Puts me in a tequila mood. Love the fishing/hunting show with Randy Jones, though.

Not fun for me anymore. I've been training my goldfish to play sports using this thing, and I would feel terrible torturing their brethren. I enjoyed sharking up until they lashed my big mako to the side of the boat and drowned it. That was the last time I fished (or ate shark).

You and CF need to fish with me some time. The actual catching of fish is more an exception than the rule. My buddies and I love getting out on the water and doing some fishing, but we aren't very good or successful at it.

well, as long as you suck, that's ok then.

Hey, we're not that kind of buddies.

Actually, we do get to celebrate a successful day of fishing over beers and fried flounder or sea bass once every year or two. However, for every such celebration there is at least four or five times that I envision the fish having a party with our bait while enjoying themselves laughing at us.

Fishing seems to have the best movie list.

And you didn't even include Jaws 3D!
