I haven't golfed for many years. I appreciate how tough it is to master, that it's a discipline as well as a sport. And I'm not surprised that Yogi Berra was really good at it, but usually it seems like a crazy misuse of real estate and water.

I wish I could golf more. I drive past two golf courses on my commute every day, and every day it's pleasant I'm mad at those who are out playing while I'm driving to work.

I have an aversion to golf, mainly because some of its adherents have an enthusiasm that's more like fanaticism.

I voted not fun, because I can't imagine ever having the time & money to take up golf.

Between watching poker on TV and playing golf, I'll watch poker and I have no idea how to play cards...any game. I can't even Go Fish.

I play in a weeknight league and try to get out on weekends once in a while. I am terrible at it but enjoy playing.

There's a message in there for golfers and other inside-club types: that, unless you're talking to someone who shares that activity with you, no one wants to hear about your golf game, no one wants to hear about your fantasy team, and no one wants to hear about your diet. None of those are good topics for sharing with non-participants. I like to play but have done less of it recently due to the 'hassle factor' - too much time and planning seem to be required. Much of that is caused by the popularity of the game and population of this area. I'd go more if I lived somewhere where the ratio of courses to humans were better.

I really enjoy golf. I enjoy the challenge of it. It is simple enough that almost anyone can play to a rudimentary level, but it is exceedingly difficult to get real good at.

Golf the game is pretty fun. Golf the society turns my stomach. I think most golfers are either Judge Smails or wish they were. We had a course at my college where students could shoot a round for 50 cents and rent clubs for $4.50. That was always a good, boozy time. One time I shot a 90, which wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't a 9 hole course

I always yell "NOONAN!!!" at them. Makes me feel better. On topic, I voted fun. I love golf. Well, that is when I am not hating it because I suck. But usually it is just a fun day out with a group of friends getting drunk and/or other things, smacking balls around and laughing at each other for sucking so bad. Ah, good times.
