So what you're telling us is that those are Bingo's travelling All-Stars

They should paint that on the side of their New Hampshire bound bus.

Not included, apparently based in part on the belief that W-L record trumps ERA: Jonathan Niese (5-6, 3.13). Parnell is 8-4, 3.90.

Aguilar is the no-doubter at 10-1, 2.83.

Murphy, by the way, has switched to second base (from third) this last week and is getting raves from Mako Oliveras.

Adam Rubin is reporting that Tony Bernazard wants to keep this team together through the second half.

Is he saying that none of these guys should expect to get to New Orleans this year?

Here's the relevant quote:

]Don’t look for B-Mets pitching standouts Jon Niese or Parnell to move to New Orleans anytime soon. Mets VP Tony Bernazard wants to keep the B-Mets team intact, while other team officials worry about moving the young pitchers to a non-winning Triple-A environment with predominantly older players.

Also reports that Murphy has started learning to play 2B concurrent with Castillo's DLing.

Un-heralded over these last few games is the fact that Easley is hitting well right now, but I wouldn;t expect that to last.

I definitely have found myself feeling a lot better lately about Damon Easley when he steps up to the plate, and I'll enjoy that feeling for however long it lasts.

The Murphy thing is interesting. I wonder if they're thinking that they'll need him frequently as a backup to a Castillo who's prone to missing time, or if the thought is more towards finding a replacement for Castillo.

My guess is that it's the former, but in time it will become more of the latter.

It would be good if Murphy could advance to the majors as Castillo's ever-more-frequent backup, and eventually nudge Castillo out the door.

Good news! I was hoping this would happen. Good luck, Mr. Murphy.

Or simply the realization that if Murphy is going to be a major league player in this organization he's going to have to learn some position other than 3B
