I'd give Rose all the good counting stats except for HR's and RBI's. I'd go with Bench for those other two. Rate stats? Beats me?

But Seaver couldn't have pitched enough with the Reds to take any of those counting stats -- four and a half seasons including the strike-shortened '81. I'll take Maloney for every pitching stat except games -Bortbon, easy. I'll go ex-Met Myers for Saves.

He wasn't in Cincy for all that long, but they never really had a main guy consistently before, or even since, so I'm going to guess saves is John Franco?

Perez is tied for second in slugging going into tonight (.483). Rijo is fifth in ERA (2.54). Dibble is tied for ninth with five saves.

No to Davis. A better hitter than a runner, this guy. The anti-Met slugging champ would eventually have a son on the Met payroll.
