I do believe this is Molina's first appearance at Shea since he had his last name surgically enhanced. He was hurt during the June series and the September makeup last year.

Under Randolph, we'd get the same crappy fixture of a player institutionalized in the #2 hole. Manuel likes for his entire stable of crappy hitters to share the #2 hole. I'm still tolerating this tactic of Manuel's, (especially with today's collection of starters) because of the Mets injury situation, but in general, it's starting to annoy me.

Merengue night is always a tough night to see the game, because of the people there primary for the concert, standing in the aisles, being rude, etc. That couldn't prevent a wonderful time at Shea, however. I woulda sent Pelfrey out for the 8th.
