A sad sack prep school English teacher (Chris Eigeman) tries to leave behind his work his way out his emotional rut, but first he needs to escape the clutches of his overbearing analyst (Ian Holm).

a world of privileged folks, a miquetoast, Manhattan, and Freudianism. All the themes of old school Woody Allen and no Woody Allen.

Sure, I'll jump in here. I gave it 3.5. The lead is a blank, but it's well written, features a small-ensemble jazzy score from John Zorn, and has a performance by the almost always compelling Ian Holm that'll make you rewind.

Recommended. There's an X-Man in it too, if that helps.

Well, I hope you all, when in doubt, choose this over Tell No One.

I mean, the filmed excrement I've sat through in my days --- it's nice to stumble into something I hadn't heard of that isn't awful.

What do you have against Tell No One? This one isn't even in theaters anymore.

I'm just trying to drum up views and votes.

Your film seemed like an attractive viewing choice, so I got all competitive-like.
