Pitched 2 innings in a rehab assignment yesterday, whiffed 4 (also gave up a couple hits and runs).

Meantime, anyone notice we're hearing a lot less about Brian Bannister? Could be because his ERA is 5.37 and he hasn't won a game since June.

The other answer btw is to promote Val Pascucci and demote Robinson Cancel.

They are talking as if Cancel has excelled in all his opportunities when in reality the two games he's started for the Mets he basically caused them to lose. I'm all for a good story and extra PH opportunities for Castro but unlewss Castro is still hurting I'd demote Cancel immediately.

I'm glad Burgos is finally healthy enough to be pitching somewhere. I'm not for rushing the guy back, but he potentially could be a big help.

I have no idea why Cancel is here. Pascucci and Aguila are hitting as well at AAA as Evans was hitting in AA, and better than Murphy. I don't understand why they're not considered to be more likely to help the major league team right now.

As for Bannister... he never had more upside than Pelfrey, but the Mets badly overestimated Pelfrey's readiness last year, and Bannister had more going for him than Jayson Vargas did.

Vargas bringing us over to a different crappy trade: Lindstrom and Owens for Vargas and Bostick.

Close with Ambiorix. The answer has got to be the other Burgos. Same hometown, same build, they've got to be brothers. But this one is untouched.
