Volumes, I'm sure. Here are some biggies that come to mind (and a few I dug up):

• IT WILL STAND FOR A THOUSAND YEARS, 4/17/64
--First game, Shea Stadium; first loss Shea Stadium

• CAROM CARPENTER, 9/20/73
Dave Augustine hits the top of the wall but doesn't go over it. Jones to Garrett to Hodges nails Zisk, paves way to first place.

• DON'T DO SOMETHING MIKE -- JUST STAND THERE, 10/3/99
--As Piazza watches, Melvin Mora hustles home on Brad Clontz wild pitch to ensure wild Wild Card tie

• SKY HIGH THEN GOODBYE, 9/13/90
--Darryl homers, Doc wins, Mets charge in final pennant race of greatest Met era

• A SEAT WOULD BE NICE, 9/12/84
--Doc strikes out 16 Pirates, sets rookie K record; he could use a nickname

• KOMEBACK WITH A K, 6/5/87
--Doc back from rehab; strikes out Barry Bonds to start things

• HE HITS, TOO 9/21/85
--Gooden's first big league homer

• THIS GUY LOOKED TERRIFIC, 4/13/67
--Tom Seaver's Major League debut; no-decision but a Mets win (with more to come)

• HOW ODD, 6/27/67
--Bill Mazeroski grounds into triple play; Oscar Madison distracted; doesn't show up in boxscore

• THE FOGGIEST IDEA, 5/25/79
--You can't catch what you can't see; game called in extras

• ESSENTIALLY A FORFEIT, 10/5/86
--108th win comes at expense of last-place Pirates, 9-0

• YOU'RE NOT READY, 7/29/88
--First-place showdown goes to first-place Mets 1-0 on Kevin Elster homer in eighth; young Bucs, unfortunately, will have their act together eventually

• G'NIGHT MURPH, 9/25/03
--Bob Murphy says adios in sad ceremonies

• SWEEP! SWEEP! 7/31/83
--Hint of things to come as Mets take two in twelve, the second on the ol' Mookie scores from second on a grounder play

• IF A HOMER IS HIT IN THE FOREST... 9/29/80
--Joel Youngblood gets his Steve Henderson on with two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the tenth to beat Pittsburgh 3-2; paid attendance for the last-week afternoon affair: 1,787

• MAZZ AS IN ZAZZ, 9/20/76
--Rookie Lee Mazzilli belts two-out, two-run homer to knock Buccos out of contention; fewer than 6,000 see it, but I hear it

• TOM STREAKS, 9/1/75
--Seaver strikes out a 200th batter for an eighth consecutive season on Labor Day; Vail homers for first time; Mets pull within four of Bucs; I'm convinced a third division title is at hand

• OTHERS DROVE IN THE RUNS, 9/21/69
--Koosman and Cardwell win in sweep of Bucs, but it's not the 1-0 pair (that was at Forbes Field)

• DARRELL THE VULTURE, 9/28/65
--Dennis Ribant throws 11 shutout innings, but Darrell Sutherland gets the win after a scoreless top of the 12th; Ron Hunt singles in only run in bottom of inning

• GET TO KNOW YOUR NEW HEROES, 5/3/06
--Billy Wagner blows win for Pedro, Carlos Delgado rescues him with homer in twelfth

• IN, THEN A WIN, 4/19/64
--Al Jackson throws a shutout, Mets score six and prove they will not 0-for-ever at beautiful new Shea Stadium

I've never felt Shea shake as much as I did at that moment. Both incredible and terrifying all at the same time.

You missed a classic: The 18-inning game in 1985 where they tried to hide Rusty Staub in the outfield (switching him from left to right depending on the batter) and he ended up making a running catch at the right field line.

• RUSTY BACK AND FORTH, 4/28/85
--Mets outlast Pirates in unlikely 18-inning marathon highlighted by Staub's awesome acrobatics in the field even as manager Davey Johnson switches him from left to right to left to avoid having him interact with a fly ball; yours truly graduates from college that day and runs up the last of his long-distance SportsPhone bills trying to follow the action; 23 years later he briefly forgets to list it as one of the undeniable Pirates @ Shea classics, for shame

Two more personal favorites:

• FOR EVERETT AND EVERETT AMEN, 6/22/97
--Carl Everett keys win with 4-for-5 day, including 10th inning homer as Bobby V starts Cory Lidle and drains bullpen; Mets win 12-9

• NEW ERA STARTS SO PROMISINGLY, 4/1/02
--We cheer Alomar, Vaughn, return of Cedeno and so on as Mets get 2002 off to vigorous 1-0 start

Promising indeed.

Our starting lineup that day:

1. .313, 4 HR, 36 RBI, .804 OPS, 66 SB
2. .323, 24 HR, 120 RBI, .955 OPS, 37 SB
3. .281, 33 HR, 108 RBI, .864 OPS
4. .303, 40 HR, 124 RBI, .936 OPS
5. .304, 27 HR, 108 RBI, .887 OPS
6. .270, 33 HR, 103 RBI, .963 OPS
7. .382, 8 HR, 38 RBI, 1.016 OPS (in 170 ABs at AAA)
8. .258, 1 HR, 60 RBI, .636 OPS

(Too bad those were their 1999 statistics).

May 4, 2006, probably not memorable for most. Mets beat Bucs 6-0 as Glavine goes 7 and Jorge Julio (!) gets the final three outs.

I went with my then 6-year old girl with two Mets Kids club tickets. Upper level reserved, first time she'd been up there. One guy behind us was quiet as a mouse...until Jeromy Burnitz came up for the Pirates. The guy just let loose on him every time he hit. My daughter finally said to me: "Dad, that guy really doesn't like Bum-nitz, whoever that is."
