Milo-lerud Goes To College

I never felt any need to pay mind to the fact, one way or another, but at a whippersnapping 18 years old I'm probably the youngest frequent visitor here. Part of the draw is the great discussions of Mets minutia past, stuff that I didn't live through but really enjoy just kicking back and watching here.
But my irregular posting here will likely be irregularer (try saying that one quickly without swallowing your tongue) over the next week or so as I get myself oriented in, off all places, Braves country. I'll be starting as a student at the University of Georgia, going for the Journalism but staying because it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the city of Athens.

So don't y'all be too surprised if I start drawling in my posts.

You know what? I had no idea you were so young. You post quite a bit older. (And yes, that's a compliment.)

Dude, I hear Athens like totally rocks. Go see hot young bands like Love Tractor, Pylon and the Flat Duo Jets.

Srsly. 18? Wow. Have fun in kollege.

And dammit, I lose another potential student. I'm just not doing my job here.

Good luck this fall, and enjoy.

Hey you start just as they are breaking in a brand new Uga! Got alot riding on that one, their previous mascot truely was the Top Dog, highest winning percentage of them all!

Best of luck.

Hey, you can scout the Braves and boo Chipper!

Best of luck, and welcome to the journalism world! You'll work hard, and the pay isn't spectacular, but you'll be rewarded with experiences that you'll always treasure.

Good luck Double O. I envy you -- at 18 I started what still seems to be the most fun five years of my life.

Same with not guessing your age, same with congratulations, same with good luck with those Southern chicks.
