Weekend OoTS, 8/23+8/24

Braves/Cardinals is the FOX game of the week down here, and they're tied at 3 in the 8th. Pujols has made two outstanding defensive plays, gunning down runners at home and at 3rd on ground balls. Tremendous instinct and athleticism for a 1st baseman. Also still a huge d-bag.

I wasn't feliz to see that game-tying hit by Pedro. Rollins GOs and there's free baseball in Philly. btw, 3-1/2 hours for 9 innings of a 2-1 game?!?!? At least when the Yanx & Os did their usual 5-hour job today they combined for like 87 hits and 42 walks.

Oh fuck me!! Dodgers load the bags with no one out (1B - 1B - BB) and promptly hit into a 5-2 (force-tag) DP and now fly out to end the inning.

Broxton struck out Werth in the 9th, one out to go and it's Tracy, a guy who hasn't had an AB in the majors in 4 years. Torre breaks Broxton's momentum by going out for a talk and Broxton then throws 6 straight balls until Feliz's game tying single. There was no reason to talk (Tracy is a lefty but so what--he's just up from the minors and even Joe Morgan knew he was nervous). Way to go, Mr. New Lifestyle. We still hate you.
