If you don't see nobility in the resilience against their own self-destructive nature, you ain't paying attention.

Part of the story this season is them coming back out with efforts redoubled the day after a cockpunch loss. You ever try to fight on after fucking yourself over? Well, the Mets are your team.

Whats worse than watching the Mets win a great game at Shea with all the crap they throw at you?

Watching it at the Zigfeld Theatre and they throw the entire Shea experience at you.

Mr. Met and the Pepsi Patrol were flinging projectiles (shirts, and soft baseballs as well) all night, they brought all the inane crap that blares out at Shea, including "Everybody Clap Your Hands" and that 7th inning stretch song.

Even Cow-Bell Man was there.

Yalloff, Mazzilli and Reynolds were there for one of the shortest Q&As in the history of Q&As. No audience questions, no commentary on the game, season or state of affairs of the Mets, and they left after only doing two segments. Strange because the studio literally is a block away.

They did do the National Athem before the game started, which was a nice touch. But in all, not the best experience if you wanted something different than what you get at the ballpark, especially the current Shea experience.

Roids McGilliguddy.

Love it.

I tell ya I am sick and tired of Jimmy Rollins , when did he become the fun police , he's been complaining again at how the Mets celebrate.

]

"We don't talk about celebrations, we just notice them," Rollins said before last night's game. "Nobody in particular. The whole team, you know."

When asked if the Mets do more "celebrating" than other teams, he replied, "Watch the game."

Sports bar type of event. Maybe when radio or TV stations do live remotes, or have staffers make an apperance at something.

Basically the game is on and that is the main attraction, but the other things are things that you'd get if you went to an SNY (or a Silverman/JCLB or Forum Meetup) bar party to watch the game.

Have someone, or more appear for the whole game, do a running commentary during the game from that person(s), more interactive Q&A, etc.

I think my problem is not that it was like being at Shea, but more that they brought just about all of the annoying things ABOUT Shea in 2008. The Party Patrol, the "Everybody Clap Your Hands," the "Dance Off," the "8th Inning Sing-a-long," the 7th inning stretch song, etc.
