Last complete game shutout had been a five-inning jobbie, 7/29/2007:

Before that, we had a six-inning faux shutout by Tom Glavine, 6/27/2007:

In total, we're looking back over two years, to 7/21/2006, for the Mets' last complete-game nine-inning shutout. John Maine was on the hill, and it was his first of his 30 Mets wins.*

* For perspective's sake, Maine is now tied for 27th all time, and tied for first among active Mets, along with Pedro Martinez.

I think you're forgetting this game, an Oliver Perez shutout against the Braves in September '06.

Indeed.

Funnily enough, that was Oliver Perez' first Mets win also.

I'm left unsure of what to conclude.
