Overheard at Smith Haven Mall yesterday: Boy (holding up Derek Jeter and A-Rod t-shirts): "Dad, should I get 2 or 13?" Dad (grabbing the Jeter and putting it back on the rack): "You're getting 13, because 2's a bum who does nothing but ground into double plays." Tough times in Yankeetown when they're turning on the Captain.

From a buddy of mine who attended Saturday's Yankees game in the Bronx... He went to buy a box of Cracker Jacks, handed the vendor a $5 bill only to be told that the snack costs $5.75. The vendor's response was "Hey, someone's got to pay A-Rod's salary."
