voting for Joe but pretty sure it won't be him.

I'd be shocked if McCain doesn't get Romney

i voted for Sebelius, I think they want to bring a woman on as an act of appeasement to the Hillary crowd but Obama is smart enough to know that Hillary herself would be more trouble than shes worth to him.

Reports of Obama/Bayh bumper stickers being printed in Kansas:

http://www.kmbc.com/politics/17267009/detail.html

Not that it means anything. Obama's staffers probably would have had Obama/Biden, Obama/Kaine, Obama/Sebelius, &c., &c. stickers printed elsewhere, just to throw people off the scent trail.

I voted Bayh, anyway. Federal-level experience plus a proven ability to win voters in a Republican-leaning state plus no record of having plagiarized speeches from Neil Kinnock.

Maybe if he picked Nancy Pelosi she'll do five percent of the stuff she
said she'd do once the VP and not just The Speaker.

Obama/Bayh stickers will look nice on African cars.

Bayh and Kaine bring in swing states. Hillary brings in a swing gender. I'm betting that they've sat down with each other, along with Valadius, and hammered this out in secret.

Yes, I reaize it's pretty insane that such a summit could occur and escape the media.

He's waiting too long. The hour-buy-hour build-up has become so intense that when he actually names someone, it will be a letdown -- unless it's someone off the charts crazy like Caroline Kennedy or Colin Powell.

And none of the people on that list are that exciting.

MSNBC saying that Bayh and Kaine are not the choice.

]WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine have been told by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign they will not be his vice presidential choice, NBC News reported on Friday quoting sources.

Speculation about Obama's choice has centered on Bayh, Kaine and Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden. Other names in the mix include Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Texas Rep. Chet Edwards.

Obama and his campaign have offered little information but the Illinois senator said earlier this week he had made up his mind about the choice.

Do you think they're planning on jerking people around all night by eliminating a different candidate with a leak every two hours?

they're saying it Biden now.
I feel like Hilary would be much like William Seward in thinking she would be able to try and run things from the inside as the more qualified person.

It's Biden!!

Biden could make history: He'd be the first vice president whose wife's ex-husband drank beer with me.

And yet he got through the vetting process anyway.

Biden released a statement saying how happy he is to run with somebody as clean as Obama.

MFS62

"Tail Gunner Joe" has cred with veterans, and that shores up some of the weakness in Obama's experience.

Also, Biden can be let loose as the attack dog, to say things Obama's camp thinks need to be said about McCain. For example, if the Republicans point to his speech plagerism accusations of a few years ago, I'm sure Biden will come back with something like "McCain is plagerizing all of Bush's failed policies".

he doesn't mince words.

nah, plagiarism is too easy. maybe they can ask him about his comment that Obama isn't ready to be president and his later comment that he'd "stand by that comment."

Hillary: 18 million votes in the primaries

Biden: 9,000 votes in the primaries.

Obama showing he needed someone with vast political experience shows one thing: He has none.

That'll be hard to keep repeating next week after McCain picks Romney.

very true, and maybe a good reason to stay away from Romney. I'm not sure what Romney really does for McCain.
