Arizona crushing the Phillies, 10-4. It's now the top of the eighth. Gonzo & Green are each 2-3 with a BB.

If Arizona hangs on, we'll be in sole possession of third place and the Phillis & Marlins will be tied for fourth.

Crazy goddamn division.

Jeff Moorad and Joe Garagiola Jr.have done a super job with the D-Backs this year, some turn around so far.

Todd Pratt misses out on a chance to demoralize the Diamondbacks for a second time in six years.

Chase Utley missed a chance to hit his second late game grand slam in a week. He did hit a 2-run single before that loser Pratt messed things up for them.

Yanks were trailing 3-0, then tied it on a bunch of walks and singles, a wild pitch, and a ridiculous decision by Wes Helms to throw home from his elbow after a very nice pick on a grounder.

They loaded the bases with none out in the fifth, but Posada whiffed and Juicin' Giambi went 4-6-3. Zero runs scored, and it's still tied.

I have the game on mute with music playing on my iPod. Johnson is in a very pissy mood. If a fight breaks out any time now, I would not be surprised. There was something earlier about Brady Clark stepping out of the box, then jawing with Posada, but it wasn't enough to make me turn the sound on.

Carlos Lee just walked to lead off the home fifth. Let's Go Brewers!

Don't know how it happened but its now 4-3 Brew-Has, none on, 1 out in the bottom of the 6th.

BrewCrew went up 4-3 on a bomb by Junior Spivey (will his kid be Junior Junior?). Now bottom 8.

RJ was pissy all night because he wasn't getting enough calls. Of course it didn't help when the ones he was getting over the plate were being caught, not by Posada, but by fans w/bleacher tickets.

Braves catcher Johnny Estrada was helped off the field after being on the business end of a viscious collision w/Darrin Erstad.

Cards knock off Boston (7 months too late for StL fans). Scott Rolen didn't play, of course, because he's on the DL -- but that just means that he'll wind up with the same amount of hits in this Sox series as he did in the last one. Matt Morris went all the way / Wakefield continues to search for his elusive good knuckler.

That picture on MLB.com of erstad bowling over estrada is great. . . it is a straight up football tackle. . .
