Count me among the proud fantasy baseball nerds here; my team is tied for third at 5-4 to this point. Best pitching staff in the league, but my offense is 12th out of 14 teams right now.

I am in first by 12 games (we do head to head matchups with 20 categories per week, thus 20 games), largest lead held by anyone this year to date.

That's exactly why I avoid Mets. (I avoid Yankees and Braves for the flipside of that reason, although I made an exception for Tim Hudson this year, because he's been on my team since forever.)

I drafted Pedro this year, and Piazza. One great, one only average. Also have Mientciewicz, but he seldom cracks my starting lineup. Hopeful, though.

I too suffer from Fantasy Nerdom. Here are some of my roto/fantasy interviews to get you through this affliction:

i am a huge fantasy dork. and most of the people in my league are not from the area so they leave most of the valuable mets for me. cliff floyd was making me look like a genius until he cooled off a bit a few weeks back. cameron was a nice pickup when he became healthy too. david wright has looked great for where he was available in most drafts (middle rounds i guess?)
