Who Am I?
ScarletKnight41 Jun 04 2005 01:14 PM |
I thought I'd start this thread for those of us posting under new screen names in our new cyberhome.
metsmarathon Jun 04 2005 02:46 PM |
well, shoot. now you've got me all thinking that i shoulda gotten a new name too...
Iubitul Jun 04 2005 02:51 PM |
I used to be JonathanArcher - since Enterprise is dead, I figured I would change.
seawolf17 Jun 04 2005 04:38 PM |
I'm still me. I suppose I could try to come up with something else, but it's much easier to just be who you be.
seawolf17 Jun 04 2005 04:40 PM |
Aha! It's much easier to change your username on this forum!

No problemo, edgy. Got your back.
admin Jun 04 2005 05:07 PM |
getalife = kc's admin name
Swan Swan H Jun 04 2005 05:20 PM |
SInce I ignorantly began posting as gf212121, which is the name I use to sign onto these sorts of things, and not knowing that I could choose a more personalized name, I got stuck with a dumb one. Now I know enough to choose my own dumb name.
TheOldMole Jun 04 2005 06:08 PM |
Same name, new avatar. But how come everyone else gets bigger avatars? I followed the rules.
Nymr83 Jun 04 2005 06:33 PM |
My name hasn't changed. i like some these new emoticons like him  but the rest stink.
vtmet Jun 04 2005 08:59 PM |
vtmet here...it's easier for me to keep the same name...I used have more names, but my brain hurts a lot easier now that I'm 40 so...I don't want to confuse myself...
soupcan Jun 05 2005 07:38 AM |
Oh. Hi.
Rockin' Doc Jun 05 2005 04:01 PM Who am I? |
I go away for a long weekend and everyone runs off and leaves me. I'm glad you at least left a forwarding address.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 05 2005 04:28 PM |
Who says we'll stop calling you Hottie? ;)
Willets Point Jun 05 2005 05:22 PM |
I'm Jean Valjean!
seawolf17 Jun 05 2005 05:23 PM |
I wonder if the GSLC will rear his tentacles over here soon... he's one of my favorite CPF characters.
Rockin' Doc Jun 05 2005 05:26 PM Thanks KC... |
I appreciate you resizing my avatar to a more reasonable size. I would however, like to make a request that it be slightly larger. Say on the order of 100x100 (or 125x125) size so that the writing is more legible.
cooby Jun 05 2005 05:29 PM |
Hottie!
Johnny Dickshot Jun 05 2005 05:56 PM |
I'm staying at ezb unless I know Purveyor of Pomposity IV is on board with this move.

Rotblatt Jun 05 2005 09:06 PM I yam what I yam |
Stil Rotblatt. Didn't think about a possible name change until you admins made it hard again.
Elster88 Jun 05 2005 09:06 PM |
You too. I like your avatar.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 05 2005 09:07 PM |
Thanks. I figured that if I was changing my image, I'd go all out <g>
Matt Murdock, Esq. Jun 05 2005 10:25 PM |
I am as i ever was, but different.
SI Metman Jun 06 2005 12:49 AM |
Nothin new here. It's hard to get rid of a name once you grow attached to it.
SwitchHitter Jun 06 2005 01:20 AM |
Well, I'm trying to fit in a little better, so I ditched the great big ASTRO in front of my name and got a nice avatar to match.
sharpie Jun 06 2005 06:12 AM |
killing off the dead cal koonce. Long live sharpie!
ABG Jun 06 2005 06:59 AM |
I'm taking the "Casual Monday" approach.
Rockin' Doc Jun 06 2005 07:25 AM |
I think I'm going to make myself a cheat sheet to keep up with all the name changes. I had to go through the same thing when people initially moved to the CPF from the old MOFO. My mind can only handle so much change at a time.
Vic Sage Jun 06 2005 08:20 AM Who am I? |
I am the faceless avenger in the mist... i strike without warning, against the forces of evil.
duan Jun 06 2005 08:37 AM em, yeah |
I'm still just Duan!
seawolf17 Jun 06 2005 08:38 AM |
I like how Jim is a number in the new system, not just his name:
TheOldMole Jun 06 2005 08:44 AM |
Just a suggestion, and not a very good one, and easy for me since I don't have to do it. How about, for a while, everyone who's done a name change put their old name on their signature line?
ScarletKnight41 Jun 06 2005 09:01 AM |
That works for some of us better than others. For the moment, I'll go back to a really old one until I think of something better.
seawolf17 Jun 06 2005 09:13 AM |
Or, better and cleaner, we can put it in our profile on a line that will show up in their personal section on the left:
Centerfield Jun 06 2005 10:01 AM |
I used to be Centerfield II. Now I am back to being just Centerfield.
willpie Jun 06 2005 10:13 AM meh |
As I said in the other, less appropriate forum, I was phatlipmojo @ ezboard. Hooray.
PatchyFogg Jun 06 2005 10:22 AM |
Since I'm on a grand quest to be America's Patchy Fogg, I just can't quit now.
silverdsl Jun 06 2005 11:18 AM |
Still silverdsl. That's the only user name I've used on every board I've ever been on - good for any board on any topic.
old original jb Jun 06 2005 01:21 PM You can take away my old posts. |
..but I'm keeping my name.
MFS62 Jun 06 2005 01:49 PM |
Nothing major.
Centerfield Jun 07 2005 11:13 AM |
Is Batty31 the former Mets Magic?
Willets Point Jun 07 2005 11:21 AM |
I remember Mets Magic leaning more towards Joan Jett than Mike Piazza.
Beenso Jun 07 2005 01:29 PM |
so is the new site or is it not definite yet.
seawolf17 Jun 07 2005 01:31 PM |
I like when it's easy to figure out who the new people are from the old board.
Swan Swan H Jun 07 2005 02:08 PM |
Are your beens not big any more? Shrinking beens is a sure sign of steroid abuse.
Batty31 Jun 07 2005 04:48 PM |
CF is the new Watson to Sherlokc. :P WP would make a rotten detective. BTW, I think I should be offended by that "leaning" remark.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 07 2005 07:48 PM |
Cool! Welcome back Magic :)
Batty31 Jun 07 2005 08:50 PM |
Thanks! It's good to be back. 8)
Willets Point Jun 07 2005 09:05 PM |
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I suck!
Batty31 Jun 08 2005 10:24 AM |
LMAO..thanks. And yeah, I have to give you credit for that..or I might have ended up in the Bronx or something.
KC Jun 08 2005 01:32 PM |

seawolf17 Jun 08 2005 01:40 PM |
Astro Annie is Switch Hitter here, I believe.

KC Jun 08 2005 01:48 PM |
Sal's lurking, stubborn ol' lizardlike amphibian.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 08 2005 02:18 PM |
I e-mailed Filet a few days ago - he knows where we moved.
Elster88 Jun 08 2005 02:19 PM |
What about JG part deux?
ScarletKnight41 Jun 08 2005 02:20 PM |
He's been traveling, but I e-mailed him the news.

Edgy DC Jun 08 2005 03:02 PM |
I'm not seeing any sign of Gary Cohen, Jr.
metsmarathon Jun 08 2005 05:09 PM |
that'd be cool. of course, at the rate i'm going, it may be decades before i get to be... i dunno... charlie o'brien.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 08 2005 05:20 PM |
Yancy should overtake me soon with the resurrection of the Schaefer polls.
Willets Point Jun 08 2005 09:12 PM |
I was thinking of Gary Cohen, Jr. too. Slugger and Gold Glove have both been mia for a while.
cooby Jun 09 2005 08:17 AM |
Is Norrin Radd here?
ScarletKnight41 Jun 09 2005 08:21 AM |
Yes, he is.
Vic Sage Jun 09 2005 12:20 PM Radd? |
He hides, faceless, in the mist...
Willets Point Jun 09 2005 12:26 PM |
The Drama Guild link gives it away. Ralph-Norrin-Vic is into all that gay theater stuff.
KC Jun 09 2005 12:30 PM |
Vic Sage sounds like a porn star name.
cooby Jun 09 2005 12:31 PM |
I thought so! :)
Rockin' Doc Jun 09 2005 05:19 PM |
Great to Know that Magic is back among us. Of course, I guess she had recently rejoined us at the old CPF and some of us were just too dense to know.
Swan Swan H Jun 09 2005 05:32 PM |
crooks banza is also among the missing. Investigators are questioning Rick Peterson and Mike Piazza.
Rockin' Doc Jun 09 2005 05:56 PM |
I see that Jersey has checked in. Glad to see that people are finding the place.
Batty31 Jun 09 2005 06:20 PM |
Hey Rockin' Doc! Long time no see! Yeah, I had just rejoined the pool not long ago and remained incognito for quite awhile.
Edgy DC Jun 09 2005 06:37 PM |
Speaking of investigators, is Archie Griffin in da house?
Rockin' Doc Jun 09 2005 08:33 PM |
Archie Griffin's too busy showing off his 2 Heisman's to Archie Goodwin to hang out in the 'pool.
cooby Jun 09 2005 09:16 PM |
How about JG?
Johnny Dickshot Jun 09 2005 09:17 PM |
lundy?
cooby Jun 09 2005 09:18 PM |
I've seen Lundy here a few times.
metirish Jun 09 2005 09:43 PM |
What about Doctor Sponge?
Edgy DC Jun 09 2005 10:06 PM |
Hot Rod Kanehl.
Willets Point Jun 09 2005 10:38 PM |
TK Rollin' is one of KC's alternate identities.
TheOldMole Jun 10 2005 02:16 AM |
With the old posting levels brought over, some interesting stats if one checks profiles. Did you know, for example, that Cooby averages 1385 posts per day?
cooby Jun 10 2005 06:52 AM |
Check out my percentile, Old Mole.
ScarletKnight41 Jun 10 2005 07:41 AM |
He was away - he was actually in NY last week, and saw the Mets at Shea. He's back home now, and he knows about the new cyberhome.
Methead Jun 10 2005 08:10 AM |
I'm still me, although the shot-blocking avatar has been semi-retired.
Lundy Jun 10 2005 08:35 AM |
I made it here, just been doing more lurking than posting. Got a full report on my PNC Park visit coming. And my long overdue report on the Hagerstown Suns.
metsmarathon Jun 10 2005 08:45 AM |
i think we need a whole FAQ detailing the progression of people's identities across both time and board.
MFS62 Jun 10 2005 12:15 PM |
I thought we had thatthread a short time ago. Folks were asked about whether they have participated on any other boards and what their screen names have been. Later
