Topic headings

Anyone know a way to change the settings for topic headings so that they are more prominent when you're reading a thread and that they automatically repeat at the top of each reply? Call me an ignoramus but I'm having trouble remembering what the name of the thread I'm reading is, and it's hard to find the name at a glance - especially when I'm using the previous/next to navigate. If there's a personal setting I can do or a universal setting, either would be appreciated. And no rush, just wanted to write it down while I'm thinking on it.
