He's appeared in 269 big league games since 2017, with the Padres, Mariners, and Cubs.

I found that out when my son got a flat tire in the California desert a few years ago, and found that his rental car didn't have a spare tire. He had to sit in the desert night for over two hours until AAA was able to get to him.

Yes, it does. But I think he's defending his reporting, not the Mets' actions. People are probably misreading his story and thinking the release was about semantics.

I don't sense that he's defending the move. I think he's just trying to clarify the story, which is his job.
